Irish Senior Cup 2022

The draw for the Irish Senior Cup has been made and Merrion have a home fixture against Coleraine on 21st May. Merrion is one of four Leinster club with home draws – the others are Clontarf, YMCA and Leinster. Pembroke and Phoenix have byes. The last two times that Merrion played Coleraine in the ISC were in 2016 when Merrion won on a bowl-out and in 2013 when they won by 99 runs. Only two players from the Merrion 1st XI that took on Coleraine in 2013 are still competing. John Anderson and Dom Joyce. In that game John made 106* [in 49 balls] and Dom 40* [in 23 balls]. So no pressure for the upcoming fixture.
