Highlights

Merrion Youth 2024
- 280 registered youth members – increase from 220 in 2023.
- Success with our U15 Girls, U17 B Boys and U13 B Boys winning their respective leagues.
- Fun Friday numbers remained strong until the end of the programme with 40+ attending each week on average.
- Implementation of new programmes:
- Umpire/Scorer Workshop in May
- Pre-season Kit Day for club members
- Primary School Blitz
- Increasing Soft-ball Camp timings to finish at 3pm rather than 2pm
- Return to separate XTRA programmes for Girls and Boys, saw a large increase in numbers of Girls attending
- No practice sessions cancelled through the summer.
- XTRA programme participants remained strong.
- Positive feedback from school’s coaching programme and increased number of schools on the programme.
- Increase in number of youth matches to 112 in 2024 from 95 in 2023.
