Merrion have a tough task ahead of them as their Womens 1st XI take on Pembroke in the first major final of the season in the Spring Coatings Senior Cup Final at Sydney Parade. In their previous encounter this season Pembroke came out on top, but the slate is wiped clean when it comes to a final.
The Merrion team this evening is a good mixture of experience and youth. The batting looks strong with four current internationals and Cecelia Joyce at the top of the order. On the bowling front it is a mainly a spin attack, except for Niamh MacNulty opening the bowling.
Overall two well matched sides with Pembroke shading it on the bowling and Merrion with perhaps the better all round batting line-up.
The Merrion team for this evening is:
Leah Paul [C]
Rebecca Stockell
Rachel Delaney
Cecelia Joyce
Celeste Raack
Hannah de Burgh Whyte
Julieanne Morrissey
Niamh MacNulty
Abigail England
Isabel Light
Ally Boucher
12th Annabel Squires
