Plenty of action this weekend. To kick things off the Girls U11 team have an away fixture against Adamstown on Friday evening. The Boys U11 are in action at the same venue the following morning.
The second round of the Premier League takes place on Saturday when Merrion play Civil Service at Anglesea Road. The last time Merrion played Civil Service in the Senior League was in 1944. So not much by way of form to go on there.
Merrion 1st XI take on Pembroke in their second outing of the weekend on Monday at Sydney Parade. In the corresponding game last season Pembroke won by two wickets.
Others outing this weekend are Merrion 3rd XI v Terenure 2 and the 5th XI v Wicklow County 2 on Sat. Both games away.
On Sunday Merrion 4th XI take on Fingal at Anglesea Rd. This is followed in the evening for any members interested in a display of vintage and classic cars on the ground. The U15B Boys start their season with a game v Greystones.
The home game on the Monday sees the 5th XI return to take on DLR County 2.
And if you are not satiated at this point, Merrion Women 2nd XI start their league campaign and defence of their title v North Kildare at Anglesea Rd at 18.00 on Tuesday.
