The eagle eyed among you will [I hope] have noticed that over the past few days the Merrion Website has been undergoing something of a refresh. The main aim is to create a new landing page for members to make it easier for them to find out about all the main activities taking place in the club in one place. This has involved a few changes to the HomePage [mainly reducing the number of items listed] and the creation of a Members Activities page https://www.merrioncricketclub.ie/membershome/ that will provide all the news, details of what on, access to videos and live streaming and integration with the club social media accounts.
What you are seeing is a work in progress and further changes are planned to make it easier to navigate through the website and to add new services.
But of course it is not just about the look and feel of the website – it is also about content. The good news is that Arlene Stanton has agreed to become Editor of the website and will be responsible for making sure that there is plenty of new and interesting material online. But for this she needs your help. Anyone interested in writing articles or taking responsibility for reporting on some aspect of the club’s activities, please contact Arlene at arlenemstanton@gmail.com. Any junior members who have an interest in sports journalism might like to try their hand.
