Spectators are Back

Finally, the news is in from Cricket Ireland [via Cricket Leinster] that we can have up to 100 spectators on the ground to watch matches. Given the popularity of the 5th XI we will have to keep a close watch on numbers when the 5th XI kick off the season in Anglesea Road on Monday [7th June] at 14.00.

Of course Covid protocols on the ground will not be relaxed. All the normal requirements relating to social distancing, hand washing etc will continue to apply. The clubhouse itself will not be open except for the use of the toilets. The club will be keeping a record of all spectators for ‘track and tracing’ purposes so everyone is asked to sign in.

When entering the ground spectators should, after signing in at the hygiene station, move to the right around the ground. The players will go to the left around the back of the pavilion.

There is limited car parking as we now have a large tent erected for hospitality. Players and officials obviously get priority and they should park in the first instance around the back of the club and when this is full on the lane. If there are spaces spectators can use the laneway but may have to park on the road.

Outdoor dining will be available on Monday from 14.00 – 18.00.

We are hoping for the full cooperation of everyone so this all works smoothly.
