Open Competitions 2023

Cricket Leinster Open Competitions now span 21 Divisions with 163 teams from 45 clubs taking part.

Merrion have entered an additional team this year and there are now seven Open teams competing in leagues, cups and T20 Competitions.

Merrion’s League opponents this year are:

1st XI    Premier League

Balbriggan, Clontarf, Leinster, Malahide, Railway Union, The Hills and YMCA.

 

2nd XI   2nd Premier XI [Division 3]

Clontarf 2, Leinster, 2, Malahide 2, North County 2, Pembroke 2, Railway Union 2 and YMCA 2

3rd XI    Division 4

Balbriggan 2, Cork Harlequins, Knockharley, Phoenix 2, The Hills 2, Wexford Wanderers and YMCA 3

4th XI    Division 7

Adamstown 2, Castleknock, Civil Service 3, Greystones, Kilkenny, Pembroke 3 and Tyrrelstown.

5th XI    Division 11

Finglas, Naas, North County 4, Rush 3, Swords 2, Tyrrelstown 2 and YMCA 4

6th XI    Division 14

Ashbourne 2, Clondalkin 2, Leinster 5, Malahide 5, North County 5, Ongar and Slieve Bloom.

7th XI    Division 7

Carlow 3, Dundalk 2, Greystones 4, Ongar 2, Sandyford 4 and Tyrrelsotwn 5.

Adamstown has eight teams, Merrion and Clontarf have seven teams and

Pembroke, Malahide, Phoenix, North County, North Kildare and Leinster all have six teams.

Clontarf are the only club with teams in a higher Division than Merrion’s [3rd / 4th / 5th].

Merrion 6th are the highest ranked sixth XI.
