The 5s start their season off with a win vs Carlow 2s! We we’re put in to bat in a reduced game of 35 overs. Contributions up top from Hansel (32), Chetan (27) and Hamzah (25 on debut) and a hefty dose of 32 extras got us to 141/8
Síbha got an early LBW call her way to start the innings before rain intervened. Post rain, Carlow teed off and got to 110-3 in 18 overs. In come, Chetan (5-0-14-4) and Aoife (6-1-26-2) who bowled a solid spell to break the partnership and bring us back into the game, before Om (6.4-18-3) mopped the tail. From 110-3 to 120/10 in a span of 7 overs. As Jimbo said, “you never know with cricket!”
