Last season the club was approached by Kelvin Hudson who was undertaking a personal photographic project on cricket. Though not a cricketer himself, he was attracted by certain visual aspects of the sport. The result was a series of photographs that are quite stunning and very unusual by cricket standards. A number of these have found their way on the the website and show up the club and its players in a very different light.
Many thanks to Kelvin for allowing us to use some of these photos on the site and we can only recommend that you have a look at the full project – in three parts – which includes photographs and accompanying text on the history of cricket in Ireland.
Signed fine art prints of the photos are available from Kelvin Hudson Photography. The cost varies with the size of the print but a typical 12” * 16” would cost €100.
We would also like to acknowledge the many members who have sent in photos for the site. In particular, we would like to thank Rodney Smythe who has taken a wealth of great cricket photos around the grounds of Leinster, some of which you will find on the site.
