End of Season : Individual Performances

Open Competitions : Outstanding Individual Performances

Eight players scored centuries in Open Competitions in Merrion in 2026. There were [11] centuries in all, with Swapnil Modgill, Raj Undre and Danial Forkin all reaching the 100 mark twice. The highest score of the year was by Stephen Doheny whose 164* against Railway in the Premier League. It is also his highest in Senior Competitions. Debut centurions for the club were Danial, Raj [although he also scored two earlier in the season for Cork County], Aaron Bailey and Andrew Kay. Andrew was one of three long-standing players who rolled back the years and risked injury to pass the three figure score. The others of course were Killian O’Flynn and Alan Parkinson.

Finally, a special mention for schoolboy Brody Molins who made 94 for Merrion 6th XI on 23rd August in Ringcommons against Ongar 3. Links to Cricstatz records of the relevant players and matches are embedded in text.

Given the bowling restrictions that apply to T20 cricket it is very rare that a bowler takes five wickets in a match. Four players, and Ashwi Manoj twice, took four wickets in the permitted four overs. All the players in the table below are part of the youth section, something that bodes well for the future.
