Although there is still a month to go before the end of the season, the two centuries scored by Merrion youth players last week has prompted a quick look at who are this year’s centurions.
Way out in front is Stephen Doheny who not only has the highest individual score of the season so far but has reached 100 three times. Overall Merrion players made centuries scored in Open Competitions, the Irish Senior Cup and Youth Competitions. The Women’s Section [who of course only play T20 cricket which makes it much more difficult] have not recorded a century this year although Leah Paul got very close in the Womens Leinster Cup Final with 97* against Pembroke. There have only been two centuries recorded in Women’s Cricket in 2025.
