A repeat performance by the Merrion Women’s 1st XI saw them complete a clean sweep of all three Senior Competitions, the Leinster W Senior League, Leinster W Senior Cup and the Irish T20 Cup. They have thus continued their dominance of women’s club cricket for another season.
As expected the Senior League campaign presented a challenge trying to manage club appearances with the number of players on international duties at different levels. But in the end there was not the same nail biting finish as occurred in 2025 when Merrion pipped Pembroke for the title by a single point.
