Top Ranking Clubs in Leinster

It is a while since we have produced a ‘Club Ranking’ based on where the teams finished in the league the previous season.  The top ranked team in Open Competitions in 2022 were Balbriggan who score ‘1’.  The highest ranked club accordingly is the one with the lower score.

The table is made up of the 11 clubs that have at least five teams in Open Competitions, excluding the Development League. The ranking of teams below the 5th XI are not counted for this table.

What the table shows is that Clontarf were the strongest club in Leinster, closely followed by Merrion. There was a sizeable gap then to four teams bunched together, Phoenix, Malahide, Leinster and Pembroke.
