Cricket Ireland has announced a €1.5 million investment in women’s cricket with player contracts and more coaching support.
Four Merrion players are among the 20 player contracts awarded. Celeste Raack has one of seven full time contracts, Leah Paul and Rebecca Shortall have education, part-time, contracts. And Rachel Delaney will be on a non-retainer contract.
The announcement from CI also included a three year contract extension for the head Coach, Ed Joyce.
This summer Ireland will play international series against South Africa, Pakistan and Australia with 12 games between June and July.
